Our Blueprint for Quality Construction
Blue is Better
Since its beginning in 1987, Choice Homes has maintained a philosophy of quality workmanship and rigorous attention to detail on every new home we’ve built. We use name-brand materials and adhere to a construction process that ensures the highest standards.
You’ll have peace of mind knowing that your Choice Home is covered by a One-Year Limited Warranty along with a Ten-Year Structural Warranty.
Building your new Choice Home is a collaborative process. We’re partners with you. In order to ensure that this partnership is strong, we’ve created a blueprint for each phase of the building process. Quality control is measured and accounted for at each phase:
Purchase Agreement and Loan Qualification
We will agree on your home site, and you’ll submit a check for $500. Be sure to bring your spouse or partner involved in the ownership of your new home to this meeting. Please don’t be shy. Ask lots of questions!
Also bring the following documents:
- W-2 Statements
- Employee pay stub from the most recent pay period
- Bank statement
Your Choice Sales Counselor will assist you with loan pre-qualification.
YES! You qualify! Now you’ll receive final loan approval on your Choice home. This is also a good time to update your financial profile.
- New-Home Selection Meeting
We’ll begin with a discussion about floor-plan options you’ve selected and a full overview of the building process. You’ll come away from this meeting with a very clear picture of what to expect as we build your new home.
- Solid Foundation
A new home that will last a lifetime must be built on a solid foundation. This critical stage involves a highly-skilled structural engineer who performs an in-depth analysis of the soil’s integrity.
- Pre-Construction Meeting
Ah…the fun part begins. One of our trained professionals will help you choose exterior brick or other surface material, flooring, fixtures, window blinds and appliances. All of the options for your new Choice Home will be decided during this phase.
- Framing
A crucial phase of your personal Choice Blueprint involves an inspection of the wooden structural shell of your new home. Any questions about construction or materials are answered at this time.
- Insulation
Choice knows you want to save money on electric and gas bills, so we’ve gone the extra mile to ensure that your home is energy efficient throughout, from the high-quality insulation material to the excellent air conditioning and heating systems.
What does this mean to you? Extra savings!
- Plumbing and Electrical Wiring
Plumbing and Electrical Wiring are installed along with air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems. Then the Interior Drywall, is hung, taped and finished, followed by texturing and painting of the walls.
- Finishing Touches
Interior trim, counters, mirrors, sinks, flooring and cabinet installation are part of the finish-out. This is the phase where the character of the house (and the owner) becomes apparent.
- Choice Homeowner Orientation
Prior to final closing, you will be introduced to your new home. We will demonstrate the operation of major components, from your shiny new appliances to the garage-door opener. We’ll spend as much time as you need to answer any questions about your new home. You will receive a reference document showing all covered items along with information on how to file a warranty claim for quick service, if the need arises.
