Q: How do I begin my search?

A: Start with the interactive map to find your preferred state, region and community. Next create a personal profile and save your favorites.

Q: I have found a Choice neighborhood that I want to explore! Now what?

A: We’re here to make it easy. Any of the following will work:

Q: What do I do once I decide to buy a Choice home?

A: Piece of cake…

  • Choose the community that best fits your lifestyle.
  • With the assistance of a Choice sales counselor, choose a floor plan and home site.
  • A $500 check will secure your new home site.
  • Select a lender or ask your Choice sales counselor for referrals. We recommend CHI Mortgage because of their impressive knowledge and long-time experience with the homebuilding industry.

Q: What if I don’t have perfect credit?

A: That’s okay. Choice is here to help you explore your options. Choice sales counselors have that can-do attitude and will partner with you to find a solution through our preferred mortgage lender CHI Mortgage or the lender of your choice.

Q: How do I get started buying my new Choice home?

A: Start with a $500 check to hold your home site and start the process.

Q: How can I avoid surprises at the closing?

A: Your Choice Homes sales counselor will carefully detail what to expect during the building process. Click here for an overview. Your mortgage professional will provide an estimate of the fees you can expect to pay at closing.

Q: What kind of financing does Choice Homes offer?

A: We are affiliated with CHI Mortgage, offering FHA, VA and conventional financing at competitive rates. Your Choice Homes sales counselor has information on each of these. Your mortgage professional will help you decide what is best for you. And of course, you also may select another mortgage lender to finance your new home.

Q: How long will it take to complete my Choice home?

A: The building process takes approximately four to five months after contract acceptance and may vary in each neighborhood depending on:

  • Protocol and approval process with city permits and zoning
  • Cycle times
  • Selections received
  • Weather
  • Size plan
  • Difficulty of plans
  • The number of homes already scheduled to close in upcoming months
